Hey Everyone-
I'm starting a custom sneakers & clothing company, Lost Soles Customs (www.lostsolescustoms.com), and I'm trying to figure out what forms and filing I have to do to really make things official. For now, I want to keep it as a sole proprietorship, and plan on doing all of my sales online or in person (no retail operation or anything). I live in California, and so far here is a list of things that I think I need to take care of:
-File DBA with my county (Santa Clara)
-Register business with my city
-Set-up Sales Tax with CA Board of Equalization
-Trademark my name and logo with U.S. Trademark
Is this a comprehensive list? If so, is there a specific order in which I should do these things?
